Laura Kenney is a Nurse Practitioner specializing in emergency and acute oncology medicine in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Laura is originally from Kansas, where she completed her undergraduate degrees.  Drawn by a love of adventure and the outdoors, Laura saw a unique opportunity to move to Utah to embrace new challenges, connect with diverse communities, and explore the state’s remarkable landscapes.

Laura is a mother of two young daughters.  She loves including them on her adventures and teaches them the importance of embracing a lifelong sense of curiosity, adventure, and appreciation of the natural world. Outside of work, she can often be found trail running, mountain biking, skiing, or exploring Utah’s mountains and deserts with her family.

Ashley is a medical student at the University of Utah, where she also earned her bachelor’s degree in Health and Kinesiology. She was born in Tucson, Arizona, where she first developed a love for the outdoors and exploring the mountains. Later, she moved to Logan, Utah, where she spent much of her childhood hiking, snowboarding, climbing, backpacking, and exploring the Wasatch Mountains with her family. Ashley has a strong interest in pediatric medicine, with a focus on advocacy, public education, and global health. She enjoys finding meaningful ways to combine her love for the outdoors with her passion for medicine.

Olivia Hanson grew up in Salt Lake City and is a medical student at the University of Utah with interests in women’s health, global health, and health equity. Prior to medical school, she worked in global health research, where she developed a strong interest in understanding how social, cultural, and structural factors shape health outcomes. She is especially passionate about improving care for women and underserved communities, with a focus on building capacity in rural communities and strengthening locally driven health systems.

Outside of medicine, Olivia enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring Utah’s trails and mountains, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Sara Bush MD is an emergency medicine physician practicing in Albuquerque New Mexico. Sara is a self-described desert rat and grew up exploring the canyons, mountains and rivers of the four corners.  Sara completed medical school at the University of Arizona COM in Tucson, Arizona and her emergency medicine residency at the University of New Mexico. Although she primarily works in Albuquerque, she can occasionally be found working in more rural settings such as Chinle, AZ and Taos, NM.  Over the years she has developed a strong interest in promoting resiliency in medicine and creating a community of colleagues. When not at work she can be found running or mountain biking with her dogs on the trails around Albuquerque or putzing around her garden and avoiding getting stung by her bees.

Jeff Odell brings decades of service-oriented leadership to his role as Treasurer of Mountains to Mountains. Before retiring, he served as the Operations Chief for the City of Greeley Fire Department, where from 2007 onward he led emergency response efforts with a calm, experienced hand. A graduate of the University of Northern Colorado with a master’s degree in Earth Sciences, Jeff has long understood the delicate interconnectedness of our natural environment and the people who call it home.

Raised in the suburbs of Milwaukee and Chicago, Jeff followed his heart west in 1975, trading city life for Colorado’s high country. What began as a ski bum adventure evolved into a lifelong commitment to the mountains and the communities that thrive in them. As a firefighter, Jeff built a career on helping others in crisis—always focused on stopping the harm and protecting life. That same ethos now drives his work with Mountains to Mountains.

A devoted grandfather to nine, Jeff is passionate about passing on a deep reverence for the Earth and its living systems. His commitment to healing — whether through medical aid, mental health care, spiritual connection, or environmental stewardship — reflects a belief that mountain communities across the globe deserve to be cared for and uplifted

TJ Hartridge, DO, FAWM, DiMM is an emergency medicine physician based in Utah, where he helps lead both the Emergency Medicine Residency and Wilderness Medicine Fellowship at the University of Utah. He also serves as a Learning Community Coach at the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine.

Originally from Michigan, TJ found his path to medicine while ski patrolling in Colorado, where he developed a love for the outdoors and a passion for mountain medicine. He went on to complete his medical training at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and later returned west for residency and fellowship at the University of Utah, where he focused on wilderness and prehospital care. While a fellow he completed his FAWM and DiMM.

Currently, TJ splits his time between clinical work in Wyoming, Salt Lake City, and Little Cottonwood Canyon, and teaching the next generation of emergency and wilderness medicine providers. In the winter, he works with Snowbird Ski Patrol and staffs the Snowbird Clinic.

His interests include medical education, search and rescue systems, avalanche response, and developing hands-on wilderness medicine training. Outside of work, he enjoys mountain biking, skiing, gardening, and time outdoors with his family.
